Over fifty people gathered at Sudley Walled Gardens for World Tai Chi & Qigong Day 2026, organised by experienced instructors Angela Howarth and Barbara Shields. This was their second event at the venue, which owes much to Lucy’s ongoing dedication. The day began at 10am in line with global celebrations started by Bill and Angela Douglas. After warming up with broadcast exercises and Shibashi led by Barbara, attendees participated in Tai Chi walking and practising arm movements, including three different versions of Parting the Wild Horse’s Mane in honour of the Year of the Horse. The morning concluded with a group demonstration of the popular 24 step Tai Chi form.
