World Tai Chi & Qigong Day 2025

Every year on the last Saturday of April, eighty countries and thousands of people meet in their local area to perform Tai Chi and Qigong, connecting Qi around the world. Each country starts their event at 10am local time so over the whole day someone somewhere will be doing Tai Chi and continuing the Qi chain around the globe.

Here in Liverpool we marked the day by being outside in the Festival Gardens. We have used this space a number of times but the first time since Covid. We were only a small group but nonetheless we enjoyed a variety of Tai Chi and Qigong routines and movements. The weather was kind to us and we stayed there for nearly two hours. Some of the public joined in with us as well. It’s always a joy to share this beautiful art with others.

Thank you to those who came. I hold a regular class at the Festival Gardens on a Tuesday morning so if you are interested take a look at my classes page on the website and register from there.
