As summer fast approaches it is always great to celebrate the year with students with some sort of social event. This year I have asked Harriet Gilmour, Blue Badge guide, who has taken us on a number of walking tours in the city, to do another walking tour and this is what she has come up with:
Castle Street was once the epicenter of medieval Liverpool. Discover how this street has transformed through the eras—from the medieval fairs of bygone times to the flourishing financial district of the Victorian age. Today, it has been reinvented with trendy bars, restaurants, and an outdoor dining scene that rivals its European counterparts. And whatever happened to the castle? Come along to find out!
The tour will take place on Friday 17th July starting at 10:30am and lasting just over an hour. We will then head to one of Castle Street’s eateries and enjoy a lunch together before heading home and into our summer holidays. If you would like to book please click on the register button and complete the form. The cost is £10 but I will confirm to you first whether there is a place available as spaces are limited and strictly on a first come first served basis.
