This session consists of one hour of Health Qigong followed by an optional half hour of Tai Chi.
The first hour will be warm up exercises and Health Qigong (HQ). This year we will be learning Da Wu (Big Dance). This part of the session will last one hour and is suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners. HQ is a wonderful Chinese system of exercise based on traditional Chinese medicine and also modern sport science and research. The set being learned is one of ten forms created by the Chinese Health Qigong Association (CHQA). Angela is an instructor member of the British Health Qigong Association (BHQA) and a senior instructor with Deyin Taijiquan Institute. A book and online videos are available from Tai Chi Link to help you with your personal practice.
Between 11am-11.30am learners have the option to do a half hour of Tai Chi. This year we will be working with three different routines (one per term) to enhance our practice through what was learned during training of Ba Fa Wu Bu. Knowledge of the forms is preferable but not essential. In the autumn term we will be working on Yang Style 16 step form. In the spring Beijing 10 step form and in the summer Sun Style 13 step form.
Payments for the online classes are a regular monthly amount paid by standing order over twelve months. You also have the option to have a recording of the live session emailed to you each week. Details of payments are:
Without the video = £16pm for one hour or £24pm for one & half hour With the video = £18pm or £27pm respectively
Newcomers to ATCS will be required to pay the relevant monthly fee upfront to secure a place. You will then be asked to set up a standing order for the 1st of each month.
