Tai Chi Day Out to Manchester 2019

The sun was shining and we were off to Manchester for the Tai Chi annual day out.  The tour was titled “Cottonopolis and the Arts” and we were in for a treat.  We started at the Royal Exchange to hear the history of this impressive building which now houses a round theatre.  The theatre seats 750 people but is an intimate setting and we listened in the stalls about the history of this incredible building.

We enjoyed lunch in the Rivals Restaurant before walking over to the John Rylands Library.  Our guide explained how and why this library was founded.  After a tour of the library it was time to head back to the coach and make our way home.
